Copyright Infringement

Copyright infringement is the unauthorized use of content that is covered by the copyright law in a way that violates the owner's exclusive rights.

A copyright (c) is the legal ownershipo rights of the creator of an original work. The copyright holder maintains exclusive rights for usually for 50 to 100 years from the creator's death. Generally, a copyright gives the "right to copy" but also gives the copyright holder the right to be credited for the work, to determine who may adapt the work to other forms, who may perform the work and who may financially benefit from it.

A copyright is intellectual property and is applicable to applicable to any expressible form of an idea or information that is substantive and discrete.
